During my involvement at Harlem Launch Alliance Inc. (HLA), I collaborated in designing the main electronic for Project Messenger, a solid fueld amateur rocket, aimed to compete at Spaceport America Cup. The primary goal of the electronic system was to continuously monitor the rocket's flight status and deploy a parachute at apogee. During the ascend the system will also record the outer temperature from 32 temperature probes and save onto the onboard SD card. After the prototyping stage, it was moved onto a permanent 3.5" by 5" PCB board. The board consisted of a inertial measurement unit, altimer, GPS, and XBee RF communication module.
